Dr. Michael W. Brumm

AACD Accredited Fellow · Certified Dental Technician — Implant Specialty · National & international lecturer

Dr. Brumm joined Dr. Strupp's practice as a full partner in 2008 with a single ambition — to embrace, refine and master every protocol the practice is known for. He holds the rare double credential of AACD Accredited Fellow and Certified Dental Technician, giving him the unique ability to actively supervise every cosmetic and restorative case from the chair and the bench. Past President of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry — the AACD's largest affiliate. A national and international lecturer on cosmetic, restorative and implant protocols.

Michael Brumm decided early in his career that he wanted to dedicate himself to the highest level of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Becoming both an AACD Accredited Fellow and a Certified Dental Technician — with the Implants specialty — put him in a tiny minority of practicing dentists who can speak fluently with the laboratory team on the lab side of every implant case, from custom abutment design through final ceramic delivery. The CDT credential is issued by the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology, which describes its certificants as being "at the top of the dental technology profession".

He earned his DMD at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2006 and his BS in Biology at the University of Kentucky in 2001 — where he played running back for the Wildcats — before joining Dr. Strupp's Clearwater practice as a full partner in November 2008.

He leads the implant side of the curriculum — single-tooth restorations in the cosmetic zone, multi-unit restorations, and full-arch hybrid prostheses — and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Nobel Biocare, Neoss Implants, and GC America. The CDT credential with implant specialty is what lets him design abutments, evaluate prosthetic platforms, and walk through the day-to-day decisions that separate predictable implant cases from compromise.

Outside the practice, Michael is married to Mary and the father of five. His off-hours go to golf, travel, and fitness.

“Nobody surpasses the quality work Bill Strupp and Michael Brumm produce.”
Danny Melker, DDS
